  1. My Dad was Luis Adame (I sure miss him). I was born into the brickyard in 1946. We lived there till it closed. I enjoyed going to Vail school and having my maternal Grandfather (Abundio Vargas)pick me up at the gate after school in a mule driven cart that was used to move brick. I have a list of Simons boys that went off to war which includes WWII,Korea and vietnam. The list started by my Uncle Ismael(Mayo) Vargas and I have continued to look for more names. I love hearing stories about the brickyard.

  3. John,

You and I are cousins, your dad and my mom were brother and sister, I guess you already knew that.

  4. Hi there
Yes, I know we are cousins. Maybe we can some day get together and exchange stories. Like I said I have info on military Vets from Simons, maybe you can help with this project.

  5. John, what do you have in mind, as far as the vets from Simons?. Other than my two uncles on my dad side I really don't know anything about the vets from Simons.

  6. kiki, What I want is any info on any Simons Vet, I know you don't have info on all the Vets, just the ones you know. As a vet myself I know we all have a story that others want to hear. Lets start with the uncles. I have a list of the Simons Vets, I'm just trying to expand the info as much as I can. I have copies of documents concerning Simons Vets and would like some documents the uncles or families might want to share. If there is another Simons reunion I would put them on display as I did at the last reunion.

    I hope this explains it.
